G'day Steve,
Using v1.2.0, when I try a sync using the source variable @drive@ I get an error. The progress window shows "Starting..." then an error dialog displays "There was an error processing the source Portable Variable.". I can close the error dialog, but I can't Abort the Progress window, I have to close the application window behind it.
Have I broken it?

I have the same problem !
Regards...
I'll take a look at this.
yuo have definatly broken it, could I ask what operating system you were using and for a little more information about where you were copying from/to e.g. from your USB to a hard disk etc.
G'day Steve,
XP SP2.
The problem occurred when trying to start a sync from USB drive to a fixed disk, so the source was @drive@. I should add that I've since done the opposite OK, from a fixed disk (actually a mapped network share) to the USB drive.

I can reproduce this, I'll get it fixed in the next version (which should be a patch fairly shortly).
quick solution for you (I haven't tested this I'm at school). It should work if you put a slash after the variable e.g. @drive@\
G'day Steve,
Thanks for the "\" fix - that did the trick.
I was also having a problem with the command line jobs not working, until I read the doco and realised I should be using the \App\toucan\Toucan.exe version. Was that a requirement in the previous version?
New question - how can I make a command line job write a log file?

glad that worked, it won't be necessary in 1.2.1 though where I've put a little check in to make sure that it doesn't happen again. As for writing to a log file, the standard Windows redirectors should now work, as detailed here, although I haven''t tested them yet.
