It should let you execute

It should let you execute .bat files...i'll have to test it when I get home (not til Sunday). I'm working on the new version, but my time is REALLY limited with school right now. Thanks for pointing out the issue though. I'll look into it.

Cool!

Thank you!

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,

and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report Biggrin

Another anomaly

If an extension is listed to be handled by the host, and a file of that type is double clicked on a host that has not been configured to know what to do with the file type yet, nothing happens, you have to pause c.a.f.e to get the host configured.

(I'm only noticing these things because I like the application so much)

Thanks,

xopher

I'm assuming this means,

I'm assuming this means, when you set an extension's association to "host", if the host computer does not recognize that extension, nothing will happen. I've noticed this as well since i just did a complete reformat of my hard drive, and ran CAFE before installing everything I would need for "host" associations. I can attempt to have it launch the file via it's alternative association if one exists, otherwise I'm not sure what to do. Don't expect results very soon, school is keeping me beyond busy. Maybe i'll have at least a little bit done by the end of the weekend.

Ok I should have tried it first

Ok seems it is working on Vista, Big THANKS! there.

I was wondering if I could make one more small improvement request. Be able to hit [ENTER] to default the run of the type and run dialog. That way you could hit [win]+[alt]+R...[keyword]...[ENTER] and have it launch without going to the mouse. If one has to go to the mouse doesn't it somewhat defeat the type and run idea of not having to move your hand from the keyboard?

Just a thought, thanks for all the work you've put in on improving this already admirable app.

Beta 3c is quite outdated.

It's been a LONG time since i've worked on updating this at all. I haven't had time because of school. My winter break from school starts in 2 weeks, and I plan on putting some time in on updating CAFE, doing code optimizations, adding a few new features (including actually being able to use [Enter] in the different configuration windows), and some bug fixes. Expect at least another month before the newest version is out though.

And you're welcome for the work. I thought it looked like a great app from the start, but there was a lot of stuff that had a basic framework coded, but none of it worked correctly. Next thing i knew, a few bug fixes turned into almost a whole new project.
