(Update) OpenOffice.org Portable Option Pack BETA 2 for OOoP 2.3.1 REV2

22.12.: Update to Beta 2
*opt.Dict selection fixed (only the Dicts wich don't belong to the selected language will be deleted).

*old directories in the folder Other will be deleted too

Hello @all,

as promized here is the OOoP Option Pack as first BETA.
Please don't use it before You backup Your OOoP installation and data!
(It should work without problems but keep in mind, it is BETA).

At the moment it is for testing/developing only, but it should work with all
OOoP 2.3.1 Rev2 installations without problems.
(That means You have to install: https://portableapps.com/node/10576 first.)

Sourcecode is included.

With this tool You are able to remove unwanted stuff like Python, add. dicts and so on.

The optionpack have to be installed in OOoP folder and should start automatic.

If You have removed all unwanted stuff You can delete OOoP_OptionPack.exe in the OOoP folder.

The tool is packed in a installer in order to show how it can be started after a normal OOoP installation as post install tool. (This is only one possible option)

You'll find it here:
https://downloads.sourceforge.net/portableapps/OpenOffice.orgPortable_Option_Pack_2.3.1_Rev_2_Beta_2.paf.exe?

Still 41mb dict files left

Python delete ok

dict folder still has 41mb of files left
like README_de_AT.txt, th_de_CH_v2.dat, pl_PL.dic

not sure if these are needed for english lang only.

How about having a option to delete/keep certain lang file support in dict/ooo folder?

at the moment ...

... all default dict for the released versions (en,fr,it and de) will not be deleted.
pl_PL is a fault.

Perhaps in the next version the selected lang will be detected and all othe dics wil deleted.

An option for keep/select lan file support is OOo built in (use the Wizard Smile )

Marko

here you go Marco
  • cant you make the option pack so it displays how much space I free with the selected options instead of just saying "freier Speicher 0,0 kb"?
  • Id like to specify the dictionaries I delete.
  • Works good other than that Wink

call me Marko :-)

# cant you make the option pack so it displays how much space I free with the selected options instead of just saying "freier Speicher 0,0 kb"?
No I can't Sad At the moment, there is no way.

# Id like to specify the dictionaries I delete.
Next version will delete all dicts wich don't belong to the selected language.

If You want more comfort ... do You really want 13 options (this is the count of the current languages...)? In my mind this is'nt I good idea.

Beta2 is in last (internal) test and will be available for public testing tomorrow.

Regards
Marko
