Has anyone thought of trying to make a portable version of Serials2005?
It's closed-source freeware. I use it on my home computer to store all of my software serial info. It makes it much easier than keeping up with all of the papers themselves. It would be nice to be able to run this from one of my flashdrives, as I tend to to a lot of reloading of software and os's.
I tried to create it myself using the PAC that I found here, but ended up with some errors, and also the program doesn't close out when selecting File/Exit. The main window closes when the X is clicked, but only the main window goes away. It has to be killed with the task manager.
go to http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder.shtml and download the beta, it will bring up most of your keys and you can ave the keys to a text (.txt) file on your flash drive
have all the keys saved in the database for Serials2005. I'd like to just get it as a portable version.
