I have a problem to create my own Firefox with thinstall : If I don't put any plugins it works without any problems.
However, if I put a plugin such as adblock plus, I have an error message in thinstall and it doesn't work :

Does someone have an idea to help me to make my own Firefox with Thinstall and Adblock plus ?

Sorry. First off, why are you making your own Firefox Portable with Thinstall when there's a perfectly useable Firefox Portable here, trying for portable plugins?
Second, I doubt anyone owns Thinstall, just to let you know, sorry.

Just keep in mind that packaging Firefox with Thinstall and redistributing isn't allowed (it may even be illegal to do with MPL licensed apps like it is with a GPL licensed app, but I'm not sure). And altering Mozilla Firefox, Portable Edition isn't allowed unless you get Mozilla's permission.

The only question is, how did you get a hold of Thinstall when it is costly and is meant for business and educational use?
BTW: I downloaded the Thinstall version of Firefox from the above link when it was Firefox 2, not 3, and tried to install plugins (addons) to it and with no success.
FYI: Thinstall takes all necessary files for the installable application and combines them into a stand-alone, executable file. Saves space, but it isn't perfect.
In the future, please do not remove moderator messages from your posts. You had linked to an illegal download site that was using thinstall to package GPLed apps (copyright violation) as well as Mozilla apps (trademark violation) and your post was updated to reflect that. Nearly every portable app online packaged with Thinstall is illegal (copyright violation, trademark violation or warez in the case of the copy of thinstall used).

I saw no harm in removing the moderator's edit, considering that either way the link to the site was deleted. I do have a question though. How is it illegal? All Thinstall does it take the files and combine them into one file. Basically like archiving the program but allowing it to still be executed. How is that illegal? Dumb question, I'm sure...
In terms of trademark, they're using Mozilla's trademarks without permission. You're only allowed to distribute Firefox as the unaltered official binary installer unless you have permission from Mozilla to do otherwise. We do for the portable apps.
In terms of copyright, combining code licensed under the GPL with closed source code (as happens when you package something with Thinstall) is not permitted and, thus, a copyright violation. Repackaging freeware without permission is also a copyright violation.
Nearly all 'Thinstalled' software online (and on that site) falls into either one of those categories or into the category of warez (commercial apps)... all of which are illegal.

A thinstalled demo of Firefox is available from Thinstall's website. So I'm pretty sure they have cleared the release with Mozilla.
However, I think (not sure) that these emulation .exe's are created during the initial install and setup. And that plugins / extensions and so forth, can't be added to the thinstalled Firefox. Which makes sense considering it is mostly made for deployment across an enterprise environment.
Still, even without those limitations, I don't see how it could complete with FirefoxPortable for portability and stability.
Thinstall may have permission from Mozilla to distribute a Thinstalled version of Firefox, but that does not mean that you have the right to. I use Thinstall myself, and when experimenting with addons and Firefox, addons seems to have issues. So your best bet is to not use the Thinstalled version of Firefox and use the perfectly fine Portable version of it that is available on this website.
FF is free. You can use it in any way you want to, modified or not. Even if distribution of modified one is illegal (if Thinstall has Mozilla permission, it's also legal), you can download and use it. So if one finds the Thinstalled one better - I recommend to use it. I think that it would be good to talk about advantages of both versions. How do I see it?

Free means free to use and distribute, although some apps are only free for personal use, not corportate/business use. Open Source means free to modify as you please, which is why Source Code is made available from the creator. So only if it is Free AND Open Source are you allowed to modify it snd distribute the modified version.
I don't claim it's legal for Thinstall to distribute it, just that it's legal to use it.
And Thinstall may have Mozilla permission to distribute such version.

Being open source is not really needed if the license permits reverse engineering. Especially with .NET / Java.
