PA for OS X

I own a couple of computers and I love using Portable Apps on my windows machines but it would be really great if there was a version for OS X. I have a few friends that also wish for an OS X version of Portable Apps. Of course it would be a completely separate platform with different apps but it would be a great future release.

Huh?

I'm not sure what you're saying here.

Tim

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?

Ya... what exactly do you mean? Do you mean that their OS only works on their computers?
And I'd rather not use wine because it is still in development stages...

No Time Soon

I can say almost for sure that Mac and Linux versions will be a while yet. And you're best to install WINE. What's development to them, is fine for everyone else.

Look into it in my perspective

What I mean is Linux is available on all platforms, Now Mac OSx is based of a BSD in which BSD is based of Linux, Now MACOsx Done is made their OS only for their specialized computers and not PC's that either have a *nix or Windows system installed on them. and also another thing I don't like about mac.... Nevermind I won't go there Blum

BSD is not based

BSD is not based off of Linux. BSD is based off of UNIX.

The reason why Apple based OS X off of BSD was because they could take advantage of the freedom the BSD license grants. I am sure if Linux was not GPLed and if it had a license with the freedoms the BSD or MIT or a similar license grants I am sure Apple would have OS X Linux based

Yeah most OS X users have no idea that OS X is just a heavily modified version of BSD.
Most "normal" people do not even know what BSD is...

DRM

He's talking about the fact that Mac OS X is artificially tied to Apple hardware.

Actually.....

That is not completely true. If you search mac os x on pc it will come up with plenty of ways to do it on both power pc processors and intel. I used to be a pc man myself but then my school gave me a mac and i absolutely LOVE it. I even have mac os x on my pc. Blum
