hi every body
a very happy new year
i had installed this soft ware of yours on my 2gb pny pendrive. it ran smoothly for a few hours. i used my friends laptop to get some important files. probably it haddd some virus and after that i am unable to open my pen drive.now it show the message that you need to format this disk.on trying to format it says that disk is write protected .now i can't access my drive. what should i do.
also tell that is there any way of removing there software form my pen drive
To me it sounds like a hardware problem not a software problem.........
You could try reformating otherwise I don't think there is much you could do...
iLike Macs, iPwn, However you put it... Apple is better ^_^

Why does everybody think this stuff has a virus?! IT'S OPEN SOURCE!!!

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
Okay.

I hope you installed ClamWin Portable on that drive.
you should run that before (and maybe after) you do any work on someone else's computer.
maybe you can run a virus checker program on the flash drive now???

as of now i have checked it twice with avg and kaspersky anti virus 6.0 but they din show any virus.
please be very clear that i am not having any personnel enmity with portableapps or its team. In fact it is highly beneficial software for some, but somehow its not working for me.the anti virus in that suite that i installed was updated shortly after installation, so i think its not a point of some virus.
Then, from the info we have gotten I'd have to guess there's a hardware issue.
I assume you didn't remove the drive while the light was on (in other words, writing was taking place on the drive).
That would mess it up.
There may be something wrong with the drive (?)
reformat and see what happens
