Okay so I was surfing the net the other day and I came across something called Creedo. Its kind of like the portableapps menu but it has a really big difference. Its like it was built around sandboxies source or something, because inside its folder it has another folder set up like the average C drive (program files, etc.), but the really cool part is that you can install non portable applications with it, and their reg settings are redirected into the portable registry. Then when you run the program, it comes up with a colored border, and pound symbols before and after the name. The problem is that its only a 30 day trial, and you need to buy a license in order to install using the portable registry. It would be awesome if we could implement this into one of the free menus. I can barely write a program on a TI-83+ or else I would start on it myself.
It could also be called Mobility Office or something like that

Na na na, come on!
C(r)eedo, Mojo Pac awesome!
I actually heard of this one called 'U3' as well! You should check it out.
but I don't like the fact of a free AND commercial versions. Just means the free version lacks functionality
Steve did have a project going for that awhile back (search for Lapwing) and I had a go at his source, but I never did get anything done on that front.
It's pretty trivial though. All you need to do is redirect the API calls to your own handler and map them to INI files (in the case of registry entries).

"All you need to do is..."
Yeah, right, Geeks that can actually program that say "All you need to do is..." make me want to puke
If I could actually do it myself I wouldn't be here, would I?
Best Holiday Wishes

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
"You" refers to the collective "you", as in everyone who reads the post
Ditto. Have a great new year, you.

Okay. I think I'm going to try making something like this. I kinda want to use python though because I need it for my 3d stuff. Basically what I want to do is combine something like blackbox and open menu+ with something else that acts like sandboxie.
A GNU Creedo thing.
before but i chose to go free with PAM and i don't regret it the Creedo looked nice tho never tried it tho. Thats the short story of how i found pam just checking out software on c|ent they brought me here
