I'm happy to announce the addition of three new forum moderators here at PortableApps.com. Tim Clark, Patrick Patience (Have Some Patience) and Steve Lamerton will be helping out with postings in the forums and comments on news stories. They join Ryan McCue, Marko Moeller (Marko MLM) and myself.

I'd love to see a name change. I don't know where I got the name 'Have Some Patience' :P. As much attention, laughs, and puns as it gets, I just wanna be Patrick Patience.
Did you use Patrick Patience at some point on this site with a hotmail address? It's taken and was in use 26 weeks ago. Also someone in Canada.
I mentioned that in the first e-mail I sent to you some months ago. This was the first forum I had ever registered for, I was young & crazy and I decided I didn't like Have Some Patience, then of course I forgot the password to that hotmail account. I believe the e-mail was like x.simple.confusion.x or something.
Again, young & crazy, I apologize.

But if we keep getting more Moderators, we definitely need a "Moderator Identification Page" to look up your Initials 
there was once talk of a developer profiles page, I would have thought that the moderators could be included.
isnt Tim the only mod that isnt really a dev too?

I think I am the only moderator that does not program/develop programs.
I always like to say, I am a "Geek w/o Portfolio" I tweak programs very well, but writing code is beyond me 
I'm a "tweaker geeker"
Fortunately you don't need to be able to write a program to be a moderator, you just have to be able to be moderate

I recently posted a reply to Patrick showing him he wasn't a moderator.
at that point he wasnt, he had offered to be, and john had agreed to give him moderator privileges, but it was not made official until recently.
I was saying that I was a moderator at The OpenDisc forums, not here.
But now both stand true.

We can delete spam nodes yet, just replies (which don't occur to often). There's a Drupal limitation. I believe it's because the forums are a module, and to be able to edit Forum node, you need to be able to edit all nodes, as the forum posts are nodes themselves.
Just wanted to clarify that, so no ones gets on us. But I believe John, Ryan, and perhaps Marko can delete them.
Otherwise you could edit every node on the damn site
