using pidgin 2.4.0 trying to add a MySpace IM account causes pidgin to quit - anyone know why? or is this a known issue? Sorry i tried to search the forums i didn't find anything
You'll have to ask the Pidgin developers, as it may be a problem with Pidgin itself. Go to http://java.freenode.net and Join #pidgin. There topic has a link to the FAQ to read before asking them anything.
you can also simply copy the installed myspace im to a pendrive, ive done this in the past, it usually gives you an error message and doesnt show any avatars but you can ignore that, it still creates a myspaceimpics folder in your My Pictures folder though
so it cant work
and you have been here long enough to know the format
not trying to be rude
Please search before posting. ~Thanks
powerjuce summed it up. Please post in proper format next time. A subject won't get you far in requesting an application.
However, when a Pidgin Portable update comes, the latest version supports MySpace IM.
in the mean time we have
http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/Using%20Pidgin#RunningWindowsPidginFroma...
Slackware 12 for system
MCP (For XP and Server 2003)
Network + Certified
aim is "nycjv321" (minus quotes)
You can add in the plugin dll and the png image and I believe it works fine.
