Using the restore function with incremental created backups restores only a few files :(.
And incremental does not work in zip-mode!

well as restoring the date file you also need to restore the basefile to get the full set of files. As for the bug with zip this is a known issue and will be fixed in the next release.
Ok, i could decompress every date file and the basefile alone! But then I have to use the CORRECT order (otherwise I would overwrite newer edited files with old ones)!
THAT makes no sense for a backup program! Ok, i could write a batchfile with sorted commands. But hey, when I use incremental backup, I need incremental restore, or not?
Why am I so demanding? Cause when you restore in the WROND order, you LOSE data. And there are a lot of people out there, who don't know the problem and the solution. THEY will lose data, because of human(!) failure in the restore process.
/EDIT: Restoring of every single incremental archive with toucan doesn't work on my pc. It halts - no progress. Manual decompression with 7z command line works...
try again, first restore the base file, then restore the latest date named achieve over that and you should have a complete copy.
Okay, that means I have to keep the last datefile and can delete every other datefile? That makes sense in some way, but I haven't read about this in the help files.
/EDIT: The "last datefile"-thing doesn't work! The process was "starting..." and there was no end... I tested it a few time with different test backups :(.
I've just spotted a little bug in the restore function, you should still be able to extract the archives fine using 7zip portable from this site and I'll fix it in the next release.

problems should now be fixed in 1.2.1 Prerelease 3.
There are problems in restoring, if:
- there is a updated file, which need to be overwritten. Toucan does NOT overwrite the existing file!
- there are files deleted in an datefile! After restoring the basefile, the restore of the datefile does NOT delete the in the meantime deleted files!
Maybe you need to set the overwrite parameter in 7zip? Its '-aoa'
sounds like a good catch, I'll get that fixed for the final release.
what happens if one of the prev. datefiles that were needed
i would rather have new datefiles in case i delete a file then i backed up my flash drive.

wouldn't loose the archives at all. All that would happen is that the restore process will overwrite existing files when it extracts to make sure you have the latest files.
