Beta testers wanted! Speereo Voice Organizer for Windows Mobile

Hello everyone!

Please comment to help us find bugs and make our product better. We will be glad to get any feedback. Post here or contact us via ICQ#: 411-075-754

Our company developed 2 products: Speereo Voice Organizer and Speereo Voice Translator. We would like you to beta-test the first one. In return for your efforts which could lead us to really improving our Organizer, we will give away our Voice Translator to everyone who participated.

Here is the full product description:

Before reading further please note that our primary target audience are common users, not advanced guys like you It means that the main criteria is simplicity. Advanced features are secondary. If you disagree with planned marketing strategy - feel free to discuss it.

Any comments are welcomed. If you know better product for this kind of job please mention it. Statements like "this product is not worth $40 because________" are also highly appreciated. But please mention things we CAN fix - not just 'oh, my goodness, it's junk!'.

And yes, we do know that the product is imperfect. We post here because we really want to make a good product. We will be happy to add anything you didn't find in other products (but you consider it to be important feature) - if other users will also find it valuable.

Thank you for your attention!

You mean this is 1st for

You mean this is 1st for windows mobile, 2nd, not open source? 3rd commercial product and 4rth not even a portable version?

Is it me or are you selfpromoting and on the wrong forums here?

Uhmmmm

For one thing this is self promotion which is a violation of the Guidelines posted by John T Haller and we only deal with Open-Source applications. if you could provide a link to the license of this product and it appears to be OSI Approved then yes most will test but this post will still be considered Self Promotion.

Is 'self promotion' of

Is 'self promotion' of Portable Apps compatible Open source products also against the guidelines?

So say if I make an open

So say if I make an open source app and make a portable version, I have to act like I didnt make it myself in order to not appear to do self promotion? lol.

I assume posting your own created - yet open source and free portable apps would (or should) be no problem.

Well

Well it's in the Guidelines on this forum so my suggestion would be to read them as I am going to do as well to keep afresh on the Guidelines Smile

If it's your own app, and

If it's your own app, and open source, it shouldnt be an issue at all. Lamer posted PNotes here and wasn't criticized for self-promoting. In fact, his project gained popularity and is steadily improving now. And I wasn't criticized for self promoting when I posted my mod of C.A.F.E. either. I got suggestions for improvement and help with coding.

I don't believe there is anything wrong with posting about a portable version of your own application.

To quote the Guidelines

Posting about your own software or websites in an online forum is a form of spamming and is not permitted here...In addition, if you are releasing an Free, portable, open source (OSI-approved license) individual application that is not a fork or clone of an app hosted here, you may make a post when you do a release.

Sorry guys, I guess I missed something!

I just read:

The Beta Testing Forum is used to provide test versions of applications that aren't yet ready for wide use ..... these should be legitimate beta tests only, not an attempt to drive traffic to your own site.

Didn't actually read Forum Guidelines. Now I did.

It's not an attempt of self-promotion. Besides, does my post looks like spam to you? Wink I just caught words 'portable' and beta test. I need feedback on Windows Mobile application, so I thought this forum might be helpful.

2 LOGAN
1st for windows mobile YES
2nd, not open source? NOPE Sad
3rd commercial product I GUESS SO
4rth not even a portable version? I THINK I HAD ANOTHER 'PORTABLE' IN MIND.
If I understand correctly your potable is (2) and my portable is (1). Sorry for that.
(1) When used to describe hardware, portable means small and lightweight. A portable computer is a computer small enough to carry. Portable computers include notebook and subnotebook computers, hand-held computers, palmtops, and PDAs.
(2) When used to describe software, portable means that the software has the ability to run on a variety of computers. Portable and machine independent mean the same thing—that the software does not depend on a particular type of hardware.

I have a question to all of you guys. It may sound stupid, but i'm gonna ask anyway ). I guess I need not Beta test, but Usability test. I will be very grateful if you can give me link to the proper forum.

Yeah.

Open source only and Windows apps only I'm afraid. I've removed your links for the time being.
