Hi,
I am using Firefox Portable on a CD, but firefoxportable.ini does not seems to work: I don't have the specified homepage and the splash screen is still here.
FirefoxPortable.ini and FirefoxPortable.exe are in the same folder, here is the .ini :
[FirefoxPortable]
FirefoxDirectory=App\firefox
ProfileDirectory=Data\profile
PluginsDirectory=Data\plugins
SettingsDirectory=Data\settings
FirefoxExecutable=firefox.exe
AdditionalParameters=
LocalHomepage=index.html
DisableSplashScreen=false
DisableIntelligentStart=false
AllowMultipleInstances=false
SkipChromeFix=false
SkipCompregFix=false
WaitForFirefox=false
RunLocally=true
# The above options are explained in the included readme.txt
# This INI file is an example only and is not used unless it is placed as described in the included readme.txt
Thanks for your help.
and welcome to Portableapps.com To turn off the splash screen you need to change the false at the end of the DisableSplashScreen line to true. As for the home page I believe that the ini is no longer needed for this, simply use the Firefox set home page options in Tools->Options to set the page and it will all be sorted out for you.
Oops... I understood "ShowSplashScreen=false"!
But for the home page, it does not work in Firefox options as it is impossible there to set a relative path, as in the .ini (as I use Firefox on a CD, and I need this as the CD path may vary: E:\ or F:\ on windows, cdrom1 or cdrom2 on linux e.g.). But don't mind, I use an autorun to load Firefox with a relative path to the homepage on the CD.

Sorry for my bad English, my mother tongue is French.
set the homepage as the file and it will all get sorted out for you, trust me one of my four homepages is a file on my USB stick.
