Hi all,
This is probably a silly question but is there any reason why I should'nt use Portable Apps on my laptop instead of using the full versions of the software ?
I ask because due to finances I could only afford a "Special Offer" laptop and consequently have a 40gb HD.
Ok, it's not that small but I do a lot of video etc, work and it soon gets clogged up so every saving of space I can make is important.
Thanks for a great product !
Regards,
Jon

They may be a tad bit slower, but really, they're not that much smaller than the regular app, so you're really best using the local version.
You might want web-based apps you can use on the internet. In Jumpcut, you can even load the video onto their servers.
P.S. I know how you feel about 40gb. I got a laptop with at 25GB hard drive.
Insert original signature here with Greasemonkey Script.
i used to hav that problem (new comp yay!!!)
but i used to archive stuff i was not using and then convert all videos no smaller sizes
Please search before posting. ~Thanks
Hi all,
Many thanks to all of you for giving me your opinion, much appreciated !
I hear what you say and will have a think, it's just I like the neatness of PA's and find it all goes together so well, especially with the launcher.
