One way to prevent the autorun from being deleted (if you have a U3 drive) is to use universal customizer(here) to change the disk partition to smithtech's App Launcher. That way you don't need autorun.inf.
Insert original signature here with Greasemonkey Script.
they need to sell these u3 drives here in malaysia...son of a Shepard..

ummm...wouldnt this still need an autorun.inf to launch SmithTech's AppLauncher? CDs (or fake CD style partitions) still need something to tell them what it is that they should auto run.

I think digitxp was referring to the "fake cd" partition, which is read-only -- that is, the autorun.inf there cannot be messed up by some application overwriting it. If the application it autoruns can figure out the drive letter used by the USB partition, it could automatically run that application, so there wouldn't need to be an autorun.inf there.

After you have installed Suite. It will have a Autorun.inf in your installed location. If you are not install it in the top of your drive(it mean you install in under the folder), it won't work.
Also, the Autorun.inf is hidden, if you set that hidden the hidden documents. You shouldn't tick the box in the setting.
If there is no Autorun.inf, you should create one yourselves.
*Code:
[Autorun]
Open={The folder your put the PortableAppsMenu.exe}\PortableAppsMenu.exe
Action=Start PortableApps
Icon={The folder your put the PortableAppsMenu.exe}\PortableAppsMenu.exe
Label=PortableApps
The folder your put the PortableAppsMenu.exe is usually in {the folder you installed the Suite}\PortableApps\PortableAppsMenu\
P.S.:
You don't need to write down your drive location in {The folder your put the PortableAppsMenu.exe}
