Hey guys,
got 2 identical usb flash drives (both with a 1 GB-chip from samsung)..
One launches PAM perfectly with the default Autorun.inf, the other one _only_ with this content:
[Autorun] UseAutoPlay=1 shellexecute=PortableApps\PortableAppsMenu\PortableAppsMenu.exe Action=Start PortableApps Icon=PortableApps\PortableAppsMenu\PortableAppsMenu.exe Label=Geode
inside the file.
Although this works great, I got _two_ context menu-entries in Windows Explore if I right-click at the drive's icon stating "AutoPlay"?!
It would be cool, if someone could explain me a) why one stick needs this and the other doesn't and b) how to get rid of one "AutoPlay"-option..
Additionally, I did run the AutoRun-Fix from Microsoft and it didn't find any problems to be fixed..
Best regards,
Martin Baranski
Well, to state the obvious, have you rebooted?

Yep, exactly 2 times..

Well, AutoPlay itself works, but I'd like to get rid of that 2nd context menu-entry.. - Anyone knows how to fix that?![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)

Post a screenshot of these two entries you're talking about. What you posted should only give you one entry in the right-click menu.

The first screenshot shows the normal Autorun.inf as PAM creates it (with minor changes to the label and the action-text) - you can clearly see that XP's "chooser" is launched instead of PAM, although there's an "AutoPlay"-entry within the context-menu..
The second one shows my Autorun.inf as of right now with PAM starting correctly after inserting the stick, but with "AutoPlay" shown twice in the context-menu..
Lastly, that "hiding" of some texts within the screenshots is because of bad experiences in the past (not here, but in general), so please excuse my behavior..

There is a difference between AutoPlay and AutoRun. Learn about all these commands here:

Right, sorry for mixing this up..
Though, after removing that "UseAutoPlay=1"-line, I get no PAM launched after inserting the stick, but instead, XP's "chooser" pops up..![Sad](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/sad.gif)
Is there something else I've mixed up, too?
Jedi Master Yoda: “Do... or do not. There is no try.”
the "chooser" always comes up. Only cds have real autoplay.

If that's true, then I don't have to look for a solution any further..![Wink](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/wink.gif)
Though, this is totally weird, because teaching XP that the stick is a CD drive will result in AutoRun/AutoPlay as expected and teaching XP the "official" way gives me a prompt instead of PAM..![Beee](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/beee.gif)

Sorry for my lousy English!!!
Would you be so kind and permit me to distribute this theme-mix?![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)
Because up to now, I use this only privately, although there are guys around which would like to have a copy..![Wink](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/wink.gif)

No Problem, all my works are gnu/gpl
.
only works that included a permission.png [like "Static Blaphsemy" or "Amora"] are free and cant edit without permission.
when you need you can host your theme on my Site.

Of course! I'll do some finishing (I'd like to have the upper-left end of your Neo Crystal Theme a bit more rounded..) and then I'd like to see it hosted there..![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)
Though, I'm still a bit confused why there's a background.JPG, but at the same time a background_top.BMP? Why not both as BMP or JPG?
Jedi Master Yoda: “Do... or do not. There is no try.”
the jpg file is the background, and the bmp is the "mask" image which set the transparency area. for example look to the original theme and to a "coplex" theme like "Amora".
