Sorry if this topic was posted before ... i'm going to internet caffee with portable Firefox on USB ... i'm afraid that anyone could get my copy of it specially the admin of the caffee .. that will allow them to know my bookamrks, rss,& passwords ... is there a way or extension that will lock Firefox with a password asked at the start of running it .. & thaks for your work on this wow site & applications
You can use Firefox Master Password lock. It only locks your saved passowrds I think. You can find it in Tools > Options > Security > Use Master Password. I'm not sure if it locks your bookmarks, rss, addons, settings, anything you have, but I'm pretty sure it locks saved passwords (but not sure if it encrypt them). Ask another person in this forum, they might help you more.
Hope to have helped
Blue is everything.
encrypts your Passwords.
You cant encrypt your bookmarks n stuff.

You might be able to use truecrypt, but you need admin access to the PC you are using. Truecrypt will create an encrypted file that acts like a disk drive, and you can install firefox into that.
Firefox extensions webpage... there is one...
EDIT: Ooppssss!!!!! I'm sorry, the extension is not available anymore... the extension's name is (was) "profile password"... if you can find it, just edit it to use it in newer FF
If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,
and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort,
and the address of the memory makes your floppy disk abort,
then the socket packet pocket has an error to report
It use a very weak encryption, which can be easily cracked. I wouldn't rely on it for my passwords and other sensitive informations.
I'm not hiding "nuclear instructions" so I don't care to much about too sophisticated protection, just enough for average Joe...
