I have tried to download 2.0.0.12 four times, and each time when I try to install it, I keep getting a "16 Bit" error and the installer stops?
Is the download corrupted?

To verify your download, use WinMD5 to check the installers integrity.
On the bottom of the Thunderbird download page yuo´ll find the correct MD5 checksum. If ut matches the one WinMD5 calculated from your download then you know you have the correct installer.
Another tip is to use a different Sourceforge mirror to download the Thnuderbird installer.
