i hav been using internet explorer in school to get to this site, and ever since the upgrade of this site, i have not been able to see the smileys in ie...
for instance these wont pop up

, 
, 
smiley, tounge sticking out, winking, sad
none of them pop up

A while back I was using it, and I couldn't see them, it was on 6.
It looks like the smileys are PNG format. Could it be that the older IE doesn't understand PNG?

The board's sw is not compatible with IE 6. Similar situation with original HTML tags. This is the only forum I've seen that doesn't support them.

yea i saw that, when i use ie6 i cant see the smileys but in ie7 i can
i see that now

If I reember corectly, John has a few hack he had to do to make the layout IE6-compatible
