This was on the feature request list for 1.1 (https://portableapps.com/node/6765) and I thought I remember discussions on its implementation but I've searched and can't find it.
Have just tried a Synch Copy (Toucan 1.2.1.1) with retain attributes checked and the folder timestamps weren't retained.

right, folder timestamps are not in there, I'm having trouble finding the correct code to do it, if anyone could show me an example of changing folder timestamps in C++ then I would be most obliged
Does the MFC function CFile::GetStatus and CFile::SetStatus work on folders?
Have you tried and found it doesn't? If not I could try but I haven't got a C++ IDE available at the moment so it could take me some time.
you seem to be right, they should apparently work on folders, I'll test it out and add it to version 1.2.2.
