New In This Release

This new release fixes some issues users encountered when upgrading to the recent 4.8.1 release. The installer will now remove outdated default configuration files. The launcher will now combine multiple plugin config directories.

PortableApps.com Installer / PortableApps.com Format

Notepad++ Portable is packaged in a PortableApps.com Installer so it will automatically detect an existing PortableApps.com installation when your drive is plugged in. It supports upgrades by installing right over an existing copy, preserving all settings. And it's in PortableApps.com Format, so it automatically works with the PortableApps.com Suite including the Menu and Backup Utility.

Oh, I just noticed that the source folder contains both Installer.nsi and PortableApps.comInstaller.nsi and was about to post that when I saw the rev 2. So I removed the old one and installed rev 2. It still has both installer files.

No imidiate rev update needed for this 'issue' but just to let you know. Thanks for your great work!

for the update. Everything is fine now (except for the thing LOGAN mentioned and all the unfound errors :))

Hi guys,

I installed this newest version and now my files that normally opened when I open Notepad++ don't. There are usually between 5-10 files depending on what I am working on at the time. That was one of my favorite things about this product. Now there is only "new 1" when I open it.

Any ideas, other than go back?
