No

Others may choose to disagree with me, I understand.
Never, in my opinion, should you ever, under any circumstances, let Firefox ReStart itself when you are are using FireFox Portable.

It shuts down and relaunches FireFox so quickly that it can interfere with FireFox Portable's clean up routines or Launches FireFox WithOut the FireFox Portable Launcher, which defeats the purpose of using FireFox Portable.

I recommend that you always Shut Down FireFox and then launch FireFox Portable from scratch.

Others may choose to disagree.

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?

Actually

As long as it's a standard restart (not an update) and you're not doing anything non-standard (like using multiple instances, which is not recommended except on your own machine), you're usually ok with restarts. The launcher has a fallback that will wait 2 seconds and then check to see if Firefox is running if the original Firefox process it launched closes. This is done specifically to check for Firefox restarting itself after extensions are updated. I *think* quickrestart uses Firefox's own internal mechanism to restart, which restarts in under 2 seconds.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I would of course defer to

I would of course defer to you John,

But I have seen many cases where after allowing FF to restart it self that after the restart FFP is not running Sad

I would suggest better safe than sorry Smile
