question about infra recorder

I was wonder if there is a setting for when i make a music Cd that it will keep the name of the music file and not just change the name to track 1, 2, 3, etc...?

Data?

Now, excuse me, because I really don't know what I'm talking about. But I believe they would have to be labeled as that in order to play in a standard CD player, but if you just want the songs unplayable on a disc, try making a data DVD.

Well i believe he wants to

Well i believe he wants to be able to have his audio cds display the song title and not track 1 etc on those nicer cd players that actually show you what cd, songtitle you're listening to. I haven't played around with all the stuff yet; i'll try to see if there's a way to do that in a little while.

Grab the Info

Wouldn't they just grab the info from the file?

CD Info

Most of those "nicer cd players" will read a data cd. That's the only way I know of to get them to display the song title.

You're talking about CD

You're talking about CD Text. This is something special in the subchannel data. I would assume Infra would support this, but I don't know for sure since I don't use it. You also need a compatible CD writer, and CD player. If your CD writer can't write CD Text, no software is going to work for you.

infraRekorder is compatibel with CD text

as far as i know, it is compatble with CD Text, but the Used mp3 codec is not capable of taking the needed infos from the ID3tags, like it is known from Nero - so track1,... etc. have to be renamed by Hand,...
but it would be nice to figure out if it can not be done automatically Wink
