GnuCash Portable running on a german system produces an ugly mix of german and english dialogs, help pages etc. I would like to tell the portable app to use english language only. In the non-portable version of GnuCash this can be done by adding the lines
set LANGUAGE=en_US
set LANG=en_US
before the command
start gnucash-bin %*
in the file gnucash.bat inside the bin folder (described here: http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Translation).
Unfortunately this doesn't work for the portable version. Any suggestions?

If you change
start gnucash-bin %*tostart GnuCashPortable.exe.But there's an updated version that will let you manually set it in an INI file and will automatically set it from the next PortableApps.com Platform release that will be posted for testing soon.

Changing "start gnucash-bin %*" to "start ..\..\..\GnuCashPortable.exe" and starting the portable app via gnucash.bat did the trick.

I'll post the GnuCash Rev2 pre-release tonight. It will have the same capability that GIMP currently does (including support for the un-released platform).
John, do you want to take this chance to update the icon in the splash or are we sticking to the same one?
