Portable JRE?

Hello, Group-

I just wanted to put in a formal request for a portable version of the Java Runtime Environment. I use Portable Firefox while at work, and am unable to access content that requires Java (OK, mostly games!)

The computers at work don't have the JRE installed, and no one has administrative privileges except the IT department (who has indicated they're not planning to install the JRE on any systems).

Anyone else want portable Java, or know of any existing portable versions?

Won't work

Firefox uses the registry to determine where Java is. If you don't have admin privs, a wrapper for Java can't update those so Firefox can see them. This has been discussed a few times.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
