Hi welcome to the forums xenoterracide
Just to let you know that we do have a fabulous search function on this site that you can use for future references,
Anyways I did the search and produced this result
https://portableapps.com/node/4142
it may need updating and also the search results page also for Mingw all together come across 3-4 pages of links you can try
https://portableapps.com/search/node/mingw
anyways again welcome and hope to see you around more often on these forums

hey what do you know? msys and mingw are not the same thing. sure they are dev-ed by the same people and are related projects but they aren't the same thing. which would be why I didn't search for mingw
uhmm if you want to get technical it goes basically hand in hand with mingw one functions yes stand alone but isn't fully complete without mingw

Hmm, never heard of this fork of Cygwin, I might look into it. Maybe I could get better performance for my SSH2 server on my Windows system.
