Today I upgraded (installed on top) to 2.4.1 and pidgin portable asked me to make an account (I had already set my accounts to the last version).
After a while I closed Pidgin and restarted it.
Pidgin was then asking again for my account. And so on...
I had the same problem with 2.4.0 but I'm not sure about earlier editions.
(1)I installed my old Pidgin Portable (2.2.x or 2.3.x I think) and then
(2)installed the official Pidgin 2.4.1 from pidgin.im to my computer (which causes no problems).
(3)I copied the files from C:/Program Files/Pidgin to my Pidgin Portable/App/Pidgin folder and From C:/Program Files/Common/GTK/2.0 to my Pidgin Portable/App/GTK folder.
(!)This solved the problem of account forgetting of Pidgin Portable for me.
Finally I tried to check what caused the problem and I concluded that something is wrong with PidginPortable.exe (in the main PidginPortable folder).
The "latest" version that works for me well (does not make Pidgin Portable forget my accounts) is 126.96.36.199 (note that with Pidgin Portable 2.4.1 the launcher version was upgraded to 188.8.131.52).
So here is my problem
Can you fix it so that I do not have to do all the copying tricks after every update?
I use WinXP SP1
