PortableApps.com community on Orkut

I have very recently discovered PortableApps.com and have found it very useful since then. I am very sure that whoever comes to know about this site/suite, would find it useful much above their expectations. Be it be the Apps or the Community, they are equally useful in their own way. I have been happy so far.

Today, I wanted to join this community in the social networking site (orkut) which I regularly use. And to my surprise, didn't find any!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly, I felt very bad. So, I created a community named "PortableApps.com" with the PortableApps official logo (hope, this is acceptable).

Hereby, I request you guys to take a look at the community page and join the community and spread this awareness. Anyone can "join".

I am not sure how many in the USA/Canada/Europe does use Orkut extensively, but in the East, Orkut is much popular than Facebook or MySpace. Anyways, I believe there is no harm in having a community in a networking site.

Finally, the community page at Orkut http://www.orkut.com/Community.aspx?cmm=48773773

It's Ok

You're ok creating a fan community like that.

Orkut isn't used in the US at all, really. I thought the only place anyone used Orkut was Brazil where it somehow became wildly popular... which was actually part of its downfall in the US since people started posting in Portuguese in all the communities and all the English users left.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I created a group that is

I created a group that is also dedicated to PortableApps.com The display picture for the group is the PortableApps logo that you see in the top left corner of this page. I used the Wikipedia description of PortableApps as the description within the group. In the Recent News portion of the group, I will post updates such as new releases, updated versions, etc. You can visit the group at:

Failure is not an option. It comes bundled with Windows.
