NVDA - Portable Version

Hi,

I just found out about this screen reader program called NVDA, I had a look at it yesterday, it is Open Source and lets you modify the program if you want to, I was wondering if PortableApps.com will be able to make a PortableApps version of NVDA. There is a portable version on the NVDA website at http://www.nvda-project.org/, but it is only in a zip file, it would be nice to have a version that is in a PortableApps installer rather than having to use the zip file. I am legally blind, that's why I thought I'd ask about this program, I can only see out of one eye, but not in full vision.

I would love to hear back to see if anyone can do a version of this program for PortableApps, if someone can create a PortableApps version of this program, that'll be great!

Hey, I'm already working on it!

I've been working on the paf version of this one for a bit. I would be happy to make this for you! Just watch the beta testing forums.

Wow! This is really good news!

Wow! This is really, really good news! Thanks for responding to my post! I'm happy to hear that you're doing a paf version, it really saves extracting a zip file that you don't know where to put the files! I will most definitely be watching the Beta Forums for the PortableApps version of this program! Being Australian, I was searching the website of the Blind Citizens Australia and I came across their New Horizons page at http://www.bca.org.au/New-Horizons/download.htm. New Horizons is a radio show on Reading Print Handicapped (RPH) radio stations! I downloaded all the radio shows and listened to most of them, by the time I got to Episode 13, I was interested because that is the one that mentions NVDA, I thought I would mention that just in case you're interested! Thanks once again for doing NVDA as a PortableApps program!
