Are C.A.F.E. and Convey Portable still in development?
I love those programs and use them a lot, but I need a couple of more features. I tried to find recent news about both programs, without luck.
I've recoded a bit of both for my own use, but if they aren't developped anymore, maybe I could give a shot at continuing these apps.

I hope CAFE keeps on going as its currently listed as outdated...
I dont know if or when i'll have time to update CAFE. I would like to see it keep improving too, my time is rather limited now though.

If you want I can dig up the source for the working directory bugfix I did and post it along with an updated binary...
I thought I had made that fix lol....I'll check tonight and upload it again. I'm not sure if and when further development will continue though.

You might have...I never checked on it since I fixed my own.
Actually....if you could find your fix and upload it, that would be great. I really don't have the time to maintain CAFE anymore, and things will just keep getting busier as I'm getting down to my last few semesters of school, and hunting for a real job for after graduation.
I'm declaring development on CAFE Mod stopped, unless somebody else wishes to take it over.

I can only assume someone will take it over. On the other hand, the menu developers might decide to integrate this functionality into the PortableApps menu itself. Or maybe it can be done through the launcher for the menus or even the launchers on a per app basis.
But I do hope someone will take this over as its a great part of a complete portable enviroment greatly enhancing the use of the PortableApps menu.
CAFE is a critical part of the PortableApps environment...

Well, since CAFE dev is stopped and no news of convey dev, I will clean-up my own mixed version to see if it can be ok here. I'm already making a version with features of both programs in C/C++ (since I don't like AHK).
What do I need to do to be sure it passes all the checks?
and since I'm already adding stuff, what features could be useful?
Maybe add an option to alter associations by changing registry entries (better integration), maybe a 'close when the menu closes' option, maybe defrag a file first automatically (too complex). Oh, how about changing autoplay's?
Or maybe the ability to open folders with an alt file manager.

As for checks, try to make it standalone, so it's easier to integrate with the menu (hopefully).
