one issue, the new Pidgin doesn't support QQ very well, all the dialog displayed "Null".somebody said it's the problem of GTK, because the older version(2.3.1) and the older GTK with new pidgin are fine.

Yes that problem was fixed on standalone Pidgin. But how can I fix it on portable which has the GTK already part of the program.
I cannot just instal a different GTK as it recognises the one already part of portable.
Where is a link to the version of GTK that fixes this?

Please provide a DIRECT link to what you're talking about. Searching for Pidgin returns Pidgin, of course. If you mean there's another unofficial Pidgin patch, then you should convince them to get it into the main Pidgin source as we won't be doing an unofficial package.

Dear John, you can refer to below two URLs for some solutions provided by Pidgin fans:

Hope you can launch a portable patch soon.
BTW in case you have a interest in translating the website into Chinese (not matter Simplified or Traditional), I could be a part time volunteer
One more thing, downgrading to GTK+ 2.12.1 Rev B will make Pidgin become unstable. I recall there is a better solution by modifying a few lines of GTK library, unfortunately I cannot find it back after come back home....
I downgraded the GTK by just replacing the GTK folder with the GTK which came with Pidgin 2.3.1 (Non Portable) and after that I can communicate via QQ with the PortableApps version. So far no instabilities observed.
