Crimson Editor

For those not in the know, this is a Freeware implementation of UltraEdit32. It is still not as powerful as UltraEdit but....

Great little editor, heading for great heights!

PSPad

I like PSPad, but usually revert back to SciTE.

Do you think of these

Do you think of these two:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE "SOFTWARE\Crimson System
HKEY_CURRENT_USER "SOFTWARE\Crimson System
?

I left these purposedly. Just think of you've installed other crimson software and when you close Crimson Editor, it will wipe the installed software's settings out of the registry.

But if you prefer, modify the nsi source code from:

DeleteRegKey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE "SOFTWARE\Crimson System\Crimson Editor"
DeleteRegKey HKEY_CURRENT_USER "SOFTWARE\Crimson System\Crimson Editor"

to

DeleteRegKey HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE "SOFTWARE\Crimson System"
DeleteRegKey HKEY_CURRENT_USER "SOFTWARE\Crimson System"

and compile the launcher.

What about an If Statement

I dont know much about NSIS but you could use an If statement (if possible) in the first few lines to check if keys were in there already and if they weren't delete the entire folder tree, if not leave it there.

(Sorry if I'm wrong, I don't know NSIS, but I do know C++ and thats how it works there.)

Good idea, I'll check it if

Good idea, I'll check it if I have some time (unfortunately I'm not an NSIS guru)

Edit: LOL I had to put an extra "/ifempty" after DeleteRegKey command Smile
Unfortunately it took about 2 hours to figure it out Sad

Now the reg key is deleted only if it is empty.
