Basicly, Miniamp is a shunken down version of Winamp 3 (yes, 3). Considering that the lite version doesnt install many v5 featues, I didnt see the point (and shaved a bit off the size). I've made the Configuration files (and the playlist) read only - to edit your preferences, give yourself write access (file properties) run winamp, and change what you need to.
The base install is 390KB, but this is with ionly the MP3 in, and wave out plugins. If you need more, grab them from your normal installation. ( Run them through UPX if your really short on space...)
Im not sure how many people are on here, so i'll post it somewhere elseso it doent screw me up
Minamp!
Is unredistributable Read the second commment
Its actually 391kb, and its here: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Nice idea, but you have to be allowed to redistribute it. Check Winamp's license for version 3, and see what they say about it -- John isn't going to tolerate illegal files.

oh.. yreah... damn...
I guess i'll just cancel that link then
You might post a tutorial (with screenshots ;)) on how to make MiniAmp -- or, if you're really feeling up to it, you could write a program that takes the WinAmp 3 files and generates MiniAmp.
What do you think?

I agree. (Anyway some free host sites can be a pain. You have to jump through hoops, and sometimes even *GASP* start up IE! Not that I know how your host was or anything...)

Yes I've done it, had it for a while, making sure it works, messing with it and just using it.
Tested with 4 different machines, and all of them worked nicely.
I wouldn't mind making a guide or walktrough for it, if anyone is interested.
Could you post it here?
