So, i have VLC Portable and i'm having problems playing a video that has a new codec. i need the H264 codec. However, when i tried to install it on my flash drive...nothing happened. The video still couldn't be understood by VLC. what's going on? how can i get the codec to install on my flashdrive so VLC can understand it?

VLC intergrates its codecs. You just have to wait until a next version comes out.
