Why not list portable Opera at this site? I used to use Opera before Firefox came out and am considering using it again. They also have a smaller footprint or application file size, making it more portable in terms of storage.

This is true, Opera is small, however it is not Open-Source, so would not be able to be modified for any purpose.

That depends on how you define "free." If you mean "as long as it costs nothing" then that isn't always true; lots of freeware licenses explicitly forbid redistribution in any form.
Nearly all forbid any kind of modificiation. Modifying and distributing closed source apps is always illegal unless they specifically give you that right in their license (and they rarely do).

How about making Opera@USB compatible with PAM anyway? Since GSAR.exe showed up on PAM, I tried PortaSoft's QuickPort Template, but haven't succeeded yet :

I've been analyzing it. According to another site, it stores its temp files on the PC and if it crashes, leaves them behind. At least the last version did.

I took a look at it not too long ago and came to the conclusion that the only way a PortableApps.com solution of it could come into a reality would be if it shipped a ready-made profile with the application and distributed a version of Opera with edited INI files. For these two reasons, I don't think it would do too well as a PortableApps.com package.
Portable Firefox is pretty much plug and play. You can put almost any version of Firefox in the firefox directory and run it without a hitch, it will even create the profile directory for you. With Portable Opera, doing this would result in a few problems with the paths.

This version of Portable Opera here overwrites and erases any private data left behind even if it crashes(I checked). And its only 3.something MB.

I have one question to you NSIS Gurus:
The profile is easy, because its saved in a extra file.
Is there an easy way of repacking this package? I just want to include a few files and leave the rest untouched. I can extract it, but the NSIS Script on the page is for 0.9 and I don't get it to work.
I just want to add one file to the opera-portable-personal-1.0.exe 7-zip can only extract the files, but not repack them.

Clarification: The Onion Router, Privoxy offer anonymity rather than security. TOR does addsome overhead to your requests, so it will work best in a location with GOOD bandwidth.
