In theory, what would one have to do in order to make The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion portable? For one, I know Registry Rapper would be a must.
And it would be god-awful slow from a thumb drive.
What about just normal games though? Like maybe simCity 3000 Unlimited? That wouldn't be as stressful as Oblivion and it would be nice to be able to play it on these school computers.
You use the same methods you use to make games portable as you use to make applications portable. Check out the development section for more information on how to do that.
You should also note that some graphically intensive games require DirectX to be installed as well as certain system hardware requirements. Should take this into thought when considering making a game portable.
