just to get this out of the way, recently, mods have started requesting that we use the Add Comment link instead of just replying, problem is, i dont feel like scrolling down through 50 posts on "Corrupt a Wish" and then scrolling all the way back up to the top just to hit the Add Comment instead of the convienient Reply. **do you think we could have the Add Comment replace or at least be next to the Reply?**
They only requested that this be done for the Corrupt A Wish game going on in the Off Topic forums. NOWHERE has there been a request to use "Add Comment" instead of "reply" in any of the standard threads.
The developer formerly known as ZGitRDun8705
but john does on occasion ask us to use the "Add Comment" instead of reply.

he (and others) only ask this when the comment that you have added is in direct response to the top level post, rather than the one that you happen to hit reply to.
This forum system threads the posts in a tree format, which means that it is a lot easier to see what someone is referring to if they respond at the correct level.
I could be wrong about some of the times that it has been asked, but, like I say, those are the only times I've see it in the general & support forums.
it ouldnt hurt to have the Add Comment button at least next to the reply button. in fact it would help in topics that grow in length like the Corrupt A Wish game has because in any thread that becomes that long, the formatting seems to get screwed up.

I don't think it is that awful to do that, maybe who is on unbearably slow PCs, but beyond that...
The only think that bugs me it the lack support for proper multi-page threads, that doesn't handle links to comments or even the new button for seeing new comments without the page where the comment is specified on the URL.
I hate to need to:
every time anyone adds a comment to the PortableApps.com Platform thread.
At least the reply/comment system has a graphical system for proper handling that. The multiple page threads don't redirect the links properly and don't have links to pages on the tread before entering the tread itself.
