I am getting a band in the bottom of my screen containing red text occassionally. Anyone know hy it is there? Can I change the view or what?

What does "occasonally" mean?
If we cant recreate the error its hard to help
But sometimes after an update there is a red text at the bottem. Here is a thread about it.

Seems like some files left behind when upgrading both Firefox and Thunderbird can generate this kind of error message. Try to backup the profile folders, delete and install them from scratch.
If the above doesn't solve your problem, try to post the message error or at least an screenshot of it.
