Hi,
I'm new to Portable Apps. It's a great idea. If this has already been answered, I apologize for asking it again, but I couldn't find anything in a search.
I can't get any of the portable apps to connect to the Internet, including ClamWin, Firefox, etc. Could someone point in the right direction for a solution to this problem. It would be greatly appreciated.
I am using Vista 64-bit, if that makes any difference.
Thanks for your help.

Is it possible that the internet connection you are trying to use is behind a proxy? If so, you will have to go into the settings for those apps and fill in the proxy information.
The developer formerly known as ZGitRDun8705
this happened to me also. i used to be able to use portableapps.com apps from school and it went staight to the internet. no proxy. ( i was watched when firefox portable was in use )
and one day i opened it up and it took a crap. it works at the IMC computers but not my 6th hour class.
and i mean NONE! i use FileZilla. how do u think that they would know i use a FTP client? they dont watch our screens. it just wont connect any more. Firefox Regualr works on my 6th hour comptuers. my teachers use it![Sad](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/sad.gif)
Na na na, come on!
Also is it at a school or work/office? If it is then they might not allow any programs except for certain ones to connect to the internet.
iLike Macs, iPwn, However you put it... Apple is better ^_^

This one is at home on a Flash Drive (8 GB) using Windows Vista 64-bit. I hope that's not the problem. There is no proxy as it connects through Comcast.
Thanks again for the ideas, and I'm sorry that another person seems to be encountering this problem.
