I am facing a problem of VLC plugin in firefox that is not working if there is no full vlc installation on my HDD.
Installation status:
1. FirefoxPortable (2.0.0.5) & VLC Portable (0.8.6c) are installed on USB stick.
2. npvlc.dll (copy from full version), libvlc.dll (copy from PortableApps\VLCPortable\App\vlc) are stored in PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\App\firefox\plugins
If the HDD full version of VLC is uninstalled the message on video web page from plugin says "no video".
Is there a version of npvlc.dll for VLCPortable 0.8.6c that would enable the VLCplayer embeded into firefox run without full VLC installation?

The plugin is not portable. Asking over at VLC if they'd update it so you could select the location of VLC would be the next step.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Wouldn't it be possible to get the VLC source and recompile the plugin code so that it links the VLC Portable to the Firefox Portable?
open the xpi file and modify it...
If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port,

then the socket packet pocket has an error to report
where do you find the xpi file? and can you guide me to editing it so it the plugin would work with portable vlc?
