I thought that ff portable will make only few entries in registry, like some recent files list etc.
But now I have seen that in my registry (XP) there are lot of referencies to the firefox on the stick.
Is this normal or where does this come from ?

If you let FirefoxPortable use Mozilla's auto-update feature, it will break a local installation and redirect all the registry entries for the local instance to your portable version. If there isn't a local version installed, it will create all of the standard firefox registry entries and point them to the portable version.
This is a known bug with the auto-update feature, has been discussed numerous times, and Mozilla is currently working on a fix.

if one does do the autoupdater in ff, and then uses the updated paf version, does it restore the installation to the ffp standards? Or does some stuff still get left out?
