Is it posible to have a portable codec pack? like xvid, divx, real, quicktime.
If you bring your movie-dvd to somebody's home, or want to see some short movies on net, that's a problem without correct codec.

You can just use Portable VLC which includes the codecs built-in.
Normal Windows codecs can't be portable as they have to be registered on the OS... which requires admin privs.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I use VLC for a long time, but it can't use codec outside. Sometimes it can't play some movies. I use wmc to play movies vlc doesn't play. As mentioned above, I would like to take some codec pack with me, or is it posible to intergrate codecs into a player?
Media Player Classic is not portable and uses the codecs on the local machine.

Hi there,
I use Media Player Classic fom USB drive on several computers, work, home etc as it seems lighter than VLC.
Works very well for DVD, DivX, WMV etc.
Does anybody know if this includes the codecs, or have I just been lucky?
