Firewalls Suck....

when i try to access a file at school it will not allow me to download. is there anyway that someone can add the installers in like a non-exe format

here, they have blocked
EXE AND ZIP download's

is there anyway we can support an external file extention? like .rar or a custom file extention like .paf! (no .exe extention)

so i can test out these apps.
these computers are great test subjects. sence they are SOOOO! tight errr Sad
thanks Smile

well

you could just remove the extension completely, and then after the download put the exe back on it. Probably not the most secure way to go though. Why don't you just download them at home and then take the file on your usb drive?

Firewalls are very useful as

Firewalls are very useful as they protect the computer from having random files access the internet.

Being unable to download Zip or Exe files might be another app doing that (Anti virus?)

But I guess as soon as you start downloading RAR files or something else, they might be added to the list of files not allowed to download.

It's all about protecting the PC.
