Hey Guys
I was wondering how is it that you request permission from a freeware developer to have his app portablised. I just sent a message to rocket division asking if StarBurn could be portabalised and afterwards realized I was an idiot because there is probably a forml process one must adhere to. Thats why I'm writing this to ask if anyone can tell me what are the steps.

That hasn't really come up yet since we can't yet host portable freeware and for open source apps there's no need to request permission.

Thanks for the info. I gues at this stage it wont hurt to do some ground work in advance. I've got no knowledge of programming so its just little things like this I can do to help.

Currently in this situation, devs post the launchers ONLY, with instructions where to get the required files and how to setup the portable installation. So you can do more than just groundwork.
I dont know how to make a launcher though:(

I just got an email back from Rocket Division saying they would be happy to be published on portableapps.com
Is there developers out there that want to work on this one and I'll forward them the email. Even if there is a launcher only for now I guarantee this is an app very much worth making portable.
