I've got an email address in my inbox that has an attachment but the attachment icon for that message only displays when that message is selected or if any other message with an attachment is selected. When a message having no attachment is selected, the icon for the original meassage disappears. I'm not losing attachments but its confusing.

This isn't specific to Portable TB. There are some display bugs within TB itself with attachment icons. Check out the mozillaZine forums for TB general stuff. Also, check out bugzilla to see if it's an existing issue. Since I just repackage TB, there's nothing I can do to address the issue.

I appreciate the fast answer....I will search mozillazine before posting here again. BTW I like the portable apps a lot - I find I don't need to take my laptop on business trips anymore. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
I want to keep a text of an email which includes attachment. But some attachments are too large. How can I delete only the attachment and keep the email? Thanks
I don't think that's possible. The attachment is inseparable from the message--it's just how email works.
