SAFARI 3.1

I just Read An Indonesian Magazine.
It says SAFARI Browser 3.1 1.7 faster than Firefox2.0 and 1.9 faster than IE 7.
So It's Fastest Browser in the World.
So can it Be portable?

License

Dear user, I am sorry to inform you that Safari Browser can not be made portable due to license restrictions.

According to the PortableApps.com Unofficial FAQ, in the portabilization requirements, an app must be OpenSource (GPL, LGPL, MIT licenses...) to be made portable. Unfortunately, Safari uses a proprietary EULA as a license.

Please think of using OpenSource alternatives like Firefox or Firefox 3 beta 5 that is now the browser with officially fastest JavaScript rendering for now (its beta state, so be careful).

Hope to have helped Smile

WebKit

Can't WebKit be used to build a fast and very compatible, portable, browser?

It's not Safari, but it is open source.

I Read

I read that it's a web browser application framework, similar to Gecko. The only open source browser for Windows I found using it was this in development one called Swift.

why reinvent the wheel?

why reinvent the wheel? There's at least two portable versions of Opera (a really fast and secure browser) and FF portable. they work just fine.

But...

But people have preferences. That's what keeps the industry moving. Don't you think that those browsers wouldn't be "invisible" if nobody used them?
Thats why Internet Explorer is loosing popularity, it didn't succeed to make people comfortable.

Each one has his preference (mine is Firefox), so, why private people, and if it was your favorite browser?
