It's the first time I try to use portable CD/DVD-burning software and my experience isn't good one: InfraRecorder doesn't burn neither CDs nor DVDs.
When I start the program, it works and shows that it "burns" my disks. But when it verifies the burnt disk, it writes that nothing has been detected on the disk. Windows shows such disks as empty either. At the same time Nero says that the disk isn't empty and erases 1% of it (though I have been trying to burn almost 300 Mb!).
I should also mention that the program doesn't change the default language (I need Russian).
yes InfraRecorder does still have some issues. the problem with burning is an InfraRecorder problem, not a InfraRecorder Portable problem. here's a forum page on InfraRecorder's site of people who have the same issues http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1687144&forum_id=603123 . I would tell you to post the bug on their forums but it doesn't look like those forums ever get replied to. most computers don't have any problems with this program but sadly some still do.
The language non changing is a bug in the PortableApps version but as stated in the previous support topic for infrarecorder; the issue is fixed and i'm just waiting for it to be uploaded by the site admin.
is that you downloaded through a proxy or some type of filter and so the files needed to bur properly are wither missing or corrupted. try re-downloading the app and see if that fixes anything. also, the type of file(s) you are trying to burn would be a nice piece of info.
Zoop
is that if the installation file have been corrupted I wouldn't have been able to install the program; and tell me, please, why the type of files is of any importance? I tried to write 7z-archives.
May the FOSS be with you!
I wanted to make a back-up, and it burned some empty folders, and where I had also sub-folders, it burned in the parent folder only the content of one of its sub-folders.
sorry i can't help but again, that's a problem with the main program, which i have no control over. problems like this should be directed to the infrarecorder forums so at least the developers there can see the problems they need to fix.
InfraRecorder has always worked fine for me and is the best open source burner but since it seems to have plenty of problems still maybe we should release a freeware burning app when we start the freeware section of this site.
