Other questions about Spyware in Usb Drive

Hi there, sorry to ask about simple same issue in new thread, but I have other problem. I picked each pictures of usb drives and delivery to new file in PC and i cleaned up my usb driver. I scanned my college virus called "Symantec Anti-virus" on the usb drive. nothing infected like spy ware or virus but there is one file and other program that i can't delete. I deleted both and it came back again. It's a folder "Recycler" and other "autorun.inf"

What is this for? The folders are hidden..I never seen it before.

Hidden Because

Well, Recycler is the Windows recyling bin I believe. Normally there if you're using a portable hard-drive. And autorun.inf is part of the suite, it allows you to receive that window asking you if you would like to run the menu when you insert your drive. Both are harmless, and I would not recommended deleting Recycler. I believe autorun.inf will not be hidden in the next platform/suite release.

autorun.inf

Didnt John "unhide" the autorun in PAM 1.1 beta4?
If its back to "hidden" then maybe John should know...

AutoRun-BR

I've used to have almost the same scenario, after a short session on a public machine, I've suddenly realized that I have a RECYCLER directory on my pendrive. On a removable drive, WTF?!

My autorun.inf file also got overridden, pointed to the RECYCLER\autorun.exe file.

I've scanned with both AVG and ClamWin, they both found a worm called AutoRun-BR. It's just a low threat, anyways, I decided to delete it permanently :).

Really? Mine scanned and not

Really? Mine scanned and not found threat. Strange. Guess what? Lucky I managed pull my college documents out of usb driver to my PC because I thought spyware in my usb driver. Now my usb driver isn't working anymore. It's about few months old. Oh well.

I put college documents in zip folder and sent to myself in my gmail. Thank god for GMAIL!

AUTORUN/INF

I doesn't seem dangerous, but it is annoying. Half (if not most) of the computers in our school have it. I got around it by creating a file called 'recycler' and a folder called 'autorun.inf'. A bit silly, but now the worm doesn't infect the USB key.

Saludos.
Gerardo.
