With InfraRecorder 0.45.0.0, when I run Video -> Create DVD-Video Disc, after scanning for devices, it does not bring up a Browse for Folder dialog as the previous version (0.44.1) did. Drag/Drop top level directory (written w/DVDFab) to left panel doesn't seem to do anything. Drag/Drop VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS to right panel works, but feels a step backward, UI wise. Is this an intentional "feature", or did something break between 44 and 45 ??
Related Feature Inquiry:
Could Drag/Drop of top level directory (or Browse for Folder, if it resurrects) fill in the compilation name?
But there is a plugin for burning DVD's here:
EDIT: NVM - It's for MP3's. Thought it was for DVD's. Sorry
yeah i noticed a change when i was testing burning a video dvd, i don't remember what i ended up doing to burn it; i don't know why it changed. as far as the change and the suggested feature, there's not much i can do for you. we didn't write infrarecorder here, only the scripting to make it portable. Sorry i can't be of more help. if you would like the infrarecorder developers to see your suggestions you can always post on the InfraRecorder Forums
About MP3, it has being said that burning DVDs would require MP3 encoder but I heard that to burn international DVD's you actually need AC3 encoding. (As I heard MP3 is only accepted by PAL.
I'm not 100% sure and this message may nothing to do with actually the problem you have.
Sorry I missed that there was an InfraRecorder Forum - I looked, honest, but missed it somehow. I'll push this over there.
Regarding the MP3 plugin being needed for DVD burning - don't know where that idea came from - and it may have been true at one time - but it is currently NOT necessary as the DVDs burn and play just fine.
OOPS number 2:
After more research, I find that it is ERASE that InfraRecorder won't do, and is a known issue with DVD-RW.
After being erased with ImgBurn, InfraRecorder properly writes a DVD-RW, even without the MP3 plugin.
Workaround, download zip file of the program:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/infrarecorder
Extract InfraRecorder.chm to this folder:
\InfraRecorderPortable\App\InfraRecorder
thanks for pointing that out. it wasn't included in the original binaries i downloaded. i'll include it in the upcoming 0.45 Rev 2 release
I can't select German Language in this Version. In Settings.xml under Language stood "Derman.irl".
this has been brought up a couple times. it's a known issue and it's been fixed for a while now, but it just hasn't been released. We should have 0.45 Rev 2 released sometime within a couple days. sorry for the inconvenience.
No problem. Thanks for the information.
