I'm packaging the Suite 1.1 and have hit a block. PNotes, which used to work with Windows 9x no longer does. It looks like it's due to use of advanced window features (like transparency). Right now, everything else in the Suite works on Windows 98 and above (most Windows 95). We'll be dropping that requirement in the next Suite because it will have Firefox 3 (and eventually Thunderbird 3) which only support Windows 2000 and up.
So, I'm thinking of pulling PNotes from the Suite for now. Any thoughts?
It's OK with me as long as we get it sometime![Smile](https://portableapps.com/sites/all/modules/smiley/packs/kolobok/smile.gif)
Of course I'm still using the original one from prerelease2 by lamer.

Things have got to get better, they can't get worse, or can they?
Pulling it for now should be fine. While PNotes is a great app, and very useful, I think it only really applies to a small group of people. I love the app and it's fun to play with every now and then, but I don't use it as a standard for keeping myself organized.

I have no objections pulling it from the suite, as long as it's still available as a separate download
Had a bloody time posting. I'm bummed, but, we've set the base os @9x, so I guess we'll need to drop it. That's okay, the new suite should come out soon

We could ask lamer and stick it in a minor update. I think it's just the way he's calling it or linking the DLLs. We make use of those features in the Menu, for instance, but they're not required to be present for it to run.
And the SourceForge page for PNotes still lists Windows 98 as supported.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
maybe have a version for older windowses like other Apps do.

I agree. If it's available for those who want it, then no problem.
